A charming 19th c piece - hand carved chestnut container with two compartments with a swiveling top. Possibly made to contain Salt and Pepper or maybe Herbs...... A wonderful example of Spanish 'Arte Populaire' - rustic and rather intriguing!  Circa 1850 or earlier.
