A rare and beautiful pair of English 19th c Soup plates with a blue & white design on the rim and an impressive monogram in the center. Copeland design from the Spode Potteries. These would have been specially created as part of a much larger set for a private client - hence the family's monogram in the centre which is, I think, 'DW'... These are very special and will appeal to a collector of blue and white china. However they are in very good condition and very usable....Circa 1880
