Unusual pair of French Peasant 'Sabots' hand carved in wood and painted black - to fit a child of approx 8 years old. On the sole of one of these shoes is written "French Peasant Sabots - Ballon 1918". An interesting and historic memento from peasant life at the beginning of the 20th century.
