19th Century French 'Table a Laver' or Washing Console - circa 1880

French 19th c Console Table - originally a rustic French Provincial Washing and Ironing Table which accounts for it's well worn surface. These tables are long and narrow making them very handy in tight spaces - in a hall for instance or an extra work table in a country kitchen. They can also make a perfect table to place behind a sofa...in fact there are lots of options for this much loved and used piece of French Provincial history...Circa 1880
