Pair of 19th c French white porcelain 'Spice' Jars with lids and with their specific contents inscribed on each one ANCHOIS & CÂPRES FINES while touches of blue enhance this lovely pair. Circa 1880. *Note that the 'Câpres' jar has had it's lid mended a long time ago - you can see that the finial on the lid must have been knocked off at some stage - all part of its history.......
