Appley Hoare has always been associated with the visual arts. Working firstly in advertising, then photography, later as a stylist, which led to being the Interior Design Editor on a prominent 'Homes' magazine. Appley was obsessed with collecting antiques at an early age and while studying at the Sorbonne in Paris would spend hours scouring the flea markets. It was, therefore, almost inevitable that Appley would open an antique business and has now been dealing in French Country furniture for over 15 years. Having successfully traded on London's eponymous Pimlico Road for the last 11 years, Appley has finally moved the business to her beloved France, & now trades online & by Appointment from her home near Montpellier in the Gard region, Southern France. Appley and her daughter Zoe work successfully as a team locating unusual antique furniture and related decorative accessories.
