Appley and Zoe Hoare

Appley Hoare has always
been associated with the visual arts. Working firstly in advertising, then
photography, later as a stylist, which led to being the Interior Design Editor
on a prominent 'Homes' magazine.
Appley was obsessed with collecting antiques at an early age and while studying
at the Sorbonne in Paris would spend hours scouring the flea markets. It was,
therefore, almost inevitable that Appley would open an antique business and has
now been dealing in French Country furniture for over 15 years.
Having recently moved to London with her daughter Zoe Hoare, the business is
currently well established on the Pimlico Road in Belgravia, which is home to
some of the best antique shops in London.
Zoe Hoare has inexorably been associated with antiques all her life and having
studied Fine Art at University is now an indispensable part of the business,
managing the shop and dealing with Promotions, Public Relations and Advertising.
Mother and daughter work very successfully as a team, Appley bringing her years
of experience and contacts in France while Zoe contributes her energy,
enthusiasm and IT skills. The end result is a professionally run antique shop
with a great deal of style.
